Where do Beautiful Cambodian Girls Get Their Genes?
Cambodia is home to a very healthy and varied genetic pool. Some anthropologists maintain that good looks are nature’s way to advertising good genes and a healthy person, and they believe that the deeper the gene pool, the more likely people are to be attractive. The story begins more than 1000 years ago. Ships from India and China would often land in Cambodia to trade. One account in a Chinese text of the time stated that the sailors would often not return to the ship, opting to stay in Cambodia due to the common practice of the locals living without clothes, and the ease with which one could have relations with the local girls. Today, it is still possible to see the uniqueness of the Cambodian features compared to Thai, Laotian, or Vietnamese. Some Khmers have darker skin and rounder eyes. This is likely due to the Indian traits that were brought over from the subcontinent on trading missions. The Indians were able to navigate all the way up to the Lao border where there is a waterfall blocking further navigation upstream on the Mekong/Tonle Sap river system, thus accounting for the physical differences between the Lao and Cambodian people, as the Lao people would have had limited contact with Indians, thus accounting for the spread of whatever genes the traders brought to the limits of the river system they were able to navigate. More recently, in the 1980s, Vietnamese, and Chinese immigration brought professionals and business people to Cambodia. There are now many shops in Phnom Penh run by Chinese, and it is not uncommon to find Cambodian girls who speak fluent Chinese. The Vietnamese came over to fill the spots of the professionals who perished under the Khmer Rouge regime. Many of today’s doctors, dentists, lawyers, and other professionals came to Phnom Penh to set up businesses and intermarried with local Cambodians, adding depth to the gene pool, and thereby increasing the number of beautiful Cambodian girls in Phnom Penh.

There are also Thai genes here as well. Throughout the history of the Khmer Empire, the Thais invaded, eventually causing the Khmer Empire to collapse. Today, many Khmers live in Eastern Thailand, some of whom intermarried with Thais and returned to live in Phnom Penh. The Thai border camps for refugees during the civil war may have also facilitated some marriages to Thais.
Possibly the most influential factor was mass migration of people to Phnom Penh in the 1980s. The Khmer Rouge forced the evacuation of Phnom Penh in 1975 and the city was all but abandoned until people began to return in 1979. People from all over Cambodia, and some from other Asian nations, repopulated the city. This migration of people back to Phnom Penh caused it to become a genetic melting pot, as people established themselves and intermarried. It was an unprecedented mixing of genes producing a ecletic mix of physical features. Many beautiful Cambodian girls were born during this period.
Eating Habits
Western girls love to eat. Girls in Cambodia are’t that much different. The difference is three things: the culture, the foods available, and the traditional methods on Cambodian farms.
First off, the culture. It is not lady-like for a Cambodian lady to eat a lot or constantly snack. When they do snack, it is usually on fruits, which are available year round. You’ll rarely, if ever, see a beautiful Cambodian girl snarfing down a bag of Doritos or munching on a box of donuts. Those things are much more expensive than the fruit. Another important cultural aspect is the food available. It is one of the few countries in which McDonalds does not operate. KFC is here, but they are still relatively new having opened their first store only a few years ago. People are not in the habit of going through a drive through on their way out to work.
Additionally, lots of children grew up in poverty, and, unfortunately, they had a limited amount of food available to them. While this is not a good state of affairs, it did ensured that children did not develop bad eating habits. These eating habits carried on into adolescence and the people stayed thin. A thin Cambodian girl is much more likely to be a beautiful Cambodian girl.

The practices on Cambodian farms are also an important factor that helps beautiful Cambodian girls stay slim, and, despite their distance from the capital, they still have an effect in Phnom Penh. For those who worry about growth hormones in meat and dairy at home in the west, you can rest easy knowing that these practices exist on a far small scale in Cambodia. More of the meat comes from farms where they do not have enough money to buy such hormones for their livestock. In addition to this, dairy is not a part of the Khmer diet. The scraggly cattle here were not bred to produce milk and Cambodians are not in the habit of drinking it. Of course, without milk, dairy products are uncommon in Cambodian culture. Some Westerners may find it strange that many Cambodian people find cheese unpleasant (Yet they will eat fermented fish paste, finding it delicious). Imagine how many calories could be cut out a Western diet if cheese was not an option on sandwiches and burgers.

Western girls spend hours trying get tans and applying foundation to get just the right skin tone. Oddly enough, Cambodians do just the opposite and avoid the sun at all costs trying to stay as light as possible. Contact lenses that make the iris of the eye appear larger than normal are also popular with girls who have money to spend.

- Cambodia is a patriarchal society. Although women can, and do, work in professional jobs such as design, accounting, management, and other such respected positions, traditionally married women stay home and husbands work to earn money for the family. In 2015 5.2% of the population will be girls ages 20-24.
